February
Shadow day has come and gone, looks like Puxatony Phil saw his shadow which means six more weeks of winter! This month is black history month and we will be exploring important figures.
Math
4th grade- we have finished learning about fractions and will be moving on to decimals.

5th grade- We just finished our unit on algebraic expressions and graphing ordered pairs.

students will have some sort of math homework every night. If you have questions please check out the visual tutorial. Your child will be able to guide you through the visual tutorial.
Technology
we have just started working on Mevis Bekin which is a keyboard skill. Students will also be working with Microsoft word, power point and excel (graphs) this year.
PE
We just finished working on floor hockey and will be looking at the components of fitness as well as our daily nutrition.
Language Arts
We have been spending a lot of time looking at our writing. Students have been working on our student treasure books. Please take a look at their planner for the month of February to see the due dates on our process. Also, students will be bringing their stories home for you to take a look and help edit their stories with them.
Science
In January we wil be looking at the Human Body.
