GMS Art Classes Minimize

Green Mountain Art classes have begun again!

Art classes will be held at Green Mountain every two weeks from January through May.

IN CLASS:

This year, we will be focusing on the question: What feelings can art evoke?

Students will look at artwork by prominent artists to evaluate the ways in which the artists expressed feelings and emotions. They will also explore ways they can use the elements and principles of art to express feelings and emotions in their own artwork.

Students began the art program by taking a pre-test "probe" to find out what they already know about

how to use art to express emotions. I will give the "probe" again during and at the end of the art program and am excited to see how students' thinking progresses and changes as we go along.

ORIGINAL WORKS PROGRAM:

Last spring, families had the opportunity to order tiles with their children's artwork on them. This year, we will be offering the full-range of Original Works products! Watch for product fliers and price lists to start coming home during the month of February.

The program has been scheduled so that products will arrive in time for Mother's Day and Father's Day.
